Even the everyday objects we pass by without a second thought become images when seen through Andy Warhol’s camera. Saint Laurent Rive Droite presents Andy Warhol’s photography exhibition <Banal Objects> in Seoul, curated by Anthony Vaccarello. Centered around Polaroid photographs created in the late 1970s, the exhibition captures familiar and ordinary objects through Warhol’s unique perspective, offering a new view of art, popular culture, and consumption.
The immediate, unretouched quality of Polaroid photographs meets everyday objects, allowing visitors to take a closer look at the world as Warhol saw it. Saint Laurent friends in Seoul also joined the occasion. CORTIS’ MARTIN, RIIZE’s ANTON, OLDEF’s ANNE, AHN HYO SEOP, CHA JUNG WON, LEE CHAE MIN, KIM DO YEON, and KIM NA YOUNG visited the exhibition and encountered Warhol’s perspective.
Andy Warhol’s everyday world, seen once again through Saint Laurent’s lens. Following Seoul, the exhibition will continue at Rive Droite Beijing.
