— URGENT: Justice Alexandre de Moraes used the Fake News inquiry to issue a ruling in which he accuses Justice André Mendonça of administrative misconduct, abuse of authority, and a crime of responsibility, triggering the biggest crisis in the history of the Brazilian Republic and the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
In the ruling, Moraes accuses Mendonça of committing “potential criminal acts aimed at directing the production of evidence toward ‘false accusations of crimes’” against STF Justices.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes says that Mendonça, during in-person meetings with the Federal Police (PF), stated that he could remove both the Attorney General and the Director-General of the PF from their positions.
