ZIP 218, currently proposed for Network Upgrade 7 (NU7), would reduce Zcash’s target block time from:

The proposal is designed to improve transaction latency and network throughput while preserving Zcash’s core privacy architecture.
Important: This is not live yet. ZIP 218 is currently a draft proposal being considered for NU7.
