If you don’t have a specific setup in mind, go to the Screener section and review all the prefilled setups available there. Select the relevant setups and identify the top-performing stocks based on their historical performance in each particular setup. This should give you an initial list of around 30–50 stocks.
Next, move to DIY Screening. Select those stocks and check the criteria you have chosen, including whether there are any deals and the bullish or bearish setup scores. After this additional filtering, you should have a shortlist of around 10–15 stocks.
Then, move to the Technical Calculator and enter the selected 10–15 stocks. Check their technical levels, particularly the monthly breakout and breakdown levels. This should help narrow the list down to the final 3–5 stocks.
That’s all the additional filtering required.
Finally, check the historical performance of those 3–5 shortlisted stocks under the respective setups. This will help determine the historical win rate and the number of times the setup has occurred successfully.
