Jesus Says, “Come”

In Matthew 11:28, Christ uses the simple and familiar word “come” to describe the response He expects to the Gospel invitation, for He says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

In John 6:37, Christ adds to this invitation to come to Him a gracious and certain promise: “Whoever comes to Me, I will never cast out.”
