❗️Japan has demanded that Russia dismantle a monument commemorating the Soviet Union's victory over Japan, located in Khabarovsk, according to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaiti.
She stated that Tokyo considers it unacceptable to depict a Soviet soldier destroying a border post with the chrysanthemum emblem – one of the symbols of the country.
"This is a matter that touches the feelings of the Japanese people. We will continue to firmly insist on the dismantling of the monument," Takaiti said.
