Senator Cynthia Lummis of the US repeated her suggestion to create a Bitcoin reserve in order to help down the country's national debt. It happened after the US gross national debt crossed $35 trillion for the first time, as disclosed by the Treasury Department on Monday. This sharp rise is in sharp contrast to the $907 billion debt level that existed forty years ago.
Lummis stated on X on Tuesday that "a strategic Bitcoin reserve could stop this runaway train and help pay down the national debt for our future generations.
