شهر رمضان شهر المغفرة The month of Ramadan is the month of forgiveness. The Prophet ﷺ said: “May a man upon whom Ramadan enters and then passes, before he is forgiven, be humiliated.” [Tirmidhi 3545] The month of Ramadan is the month of forgiveness. So turn to your Lord and repent, indeed He is the most forgiving and most merciful. The word Ramadan is derived from رمض which means intense burning, in the same way a belivers minor sins can be burned by righteous deeds especially in Ramadan. There are so many easy ways to get His forgiveness granted to us. The Prophet ﷺ said: The five daily prayers, Jumuʿah to Jumuʿah, and Ramadan to Ramadan are an expiation for what is between them, so long as one stays away from the major sins. [Muslim 233] The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever stands (in voluntary prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Laylat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." [Nasai 5027] The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ." [Bukhari 2014] Merely fasting with sincerity is forgiveness, if we are not going to be granted forgiveness this month then when are we going to be forgiven? The month of Ramadan is the month of forgiveness. شهر رمضان شهر المغفرة عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ رَغِمَ أَنْفُ رَجُلٍ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَىَّ وَرَغِمَ أَنْفُ رَجُلٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَمَضَانُ ثُمَّ انْسَلَخَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُغْفَرَ لَهُ وَرَغِمَ أَنْفُ رَجُلٍ أَدْرَكَ عِنْدَهُ أَبَوَاهُ الْكِبَرَ فَلَمْ يُدْخِلاَهُ الْجَنَّةَ [جامع الترمذي ٣٥٤٥] عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ وَالْجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ وَرَمَضَانُ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ مُكَفِّرَاتٌ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ إِذَا اجْتَنَبَ الْكَبَائِرَ ‏"‏ ‏ [صحيح المسلم ٢٣٣] حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ [سنن النسائي ٥٠٢٧] عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ، وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ‏" [صحيح البخارى ٢٠١٤]
