Ibn al Jawzi رحمه الله said: By Allah, if it was said to the inhabitants of the grave to make a wish, they would wish for one day of Ramadan.
We’ve reached the final Jumu’ah of Ramadan and the final odd night. Only 1 or 2 days remain. Let’s seize this opportunity to intensify our worship and avoid complacency. If you’ve fallen short, take some time to reflect on your shortcomings and make amends. I have some wonderful tidings for you: Ramadan isn’t over yet!
This month has been a month of forgiveness and mercy, a month when the gates of Jannah are open and the gates of Hell are closed, and the Shayateen are locked away. Soon, this blessed month will come to an end and our hearts will long for it again but we are not guaranteed that we will see the next one. Take some time to sit and ponder: have we as individuals done enough this month?
The farewell will be difficult, just as our hearts have come to peace. It will depart as it came. Make the most of the time you have left of this blessed month.
