Protect your fasts!
The Tabi’ Yahya Bin Abi Kathir said:
The man abstains from the good lawful things (food and drink) and he breaks it with the bad and unlawful things: the flesh of his brother (backbiting).
📚الحلية لأبي نعيم
Abu al-Aaliyah said: The one who fasts is in a constant state of worship, as long as he doesn’t engage in backbiting, even if he is sleeping on his bed.
📚الزهد للإمام أحمد صـ٢٤٥
This goes for any other sin, stay away from them as much as you can and do not diminish the rewards of fasting. Do not get complacent in the last 10 nights!
احفظ صومك
قال التابعي يحيى بن أبي كثير :
يصوم الرجل عن الحلال الطيب
( يعني الطعام والشراب )
ويفطر على الحرام الخبيث :
لحم أخيه
(يعني الغيبة والنميمة)

عن أبي العالية قال: "الصائم في عبادة ما لم يغتب وإن كان نائما على فراشه"
