War 🪖 seen from space 🇺🇦/🇷🇺
By comparing satellite images from August 2026 with those from August 2021, we observe the destruction of vast cultivated areas between the Belarusian border and the Black Sea.
The front line of this war in Ukraine is visible from space, as is the destruction it has caused to forests and fields, at least 40,000 km² of which are currently uncultivated. It is also worth noting the increased drought in Crimea and the occupied territories, caused by a lack of water for crop irrigation.
