American Councils for International Education: post #2452 — TG.ME

Empowering Access Teachers to Inspire the Next Generation!

📅 From July 20–24, 2026, the English Access Scholarship Program Teacher Training brought together 36 English language teachers and 13 IT teachers from Access program centers across 10 regions of Uzbekistan for a week of professional development, collaboration, and innovation.

👩‍🏫 The training was facilitated by two U.S. teacher trainers for the English language component and a local IT trainer for the digital literacy component. Representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent supported the training by participating in the opening and closing ceremonies and observing the activity showcases.

💡 Through interactive sessions, participants explored practical strategies for creating student-centered classrooms, fostering creativity and critical thinking, strengthening collaboration, promoting global citizenship, and integrating digital technologies and AI tools into teaching. IT teachers also strengthened their skills in digital collaboration, online communication, and responsible digital content creation to support the program's digital literacy curriculum.

🌟 The training concluded with inspiring activity showcases, where English teachers presented original classroom activities and IT teachers demonstrated their newly developed skills through engaging micro-teaching presentations.

🤝 The training strengthened teachers' pedagogical and digital competencies, increased their confidence in applying innovative, technology-enhanced teaching practices, and fostered professional networks that will support high-quality implementation of the Access Program across Uzbekistan.

The English Access Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by American Councils for International Education.
